Short film pre-production diary

Pre-production Diary

Monday, 19/03/2018- In a meeting, we went over the script and discussed any potential changes that may need to be implemented to the ending In order to make it more satisfying for the viewer. We also talked about potential filming locations and dates that we can work around.

We have an audition session on Wednesday planned which we will use to determine who of the actors is chosen to play a particular role in the short film.

Tuesday, 20/03/2018- We focused on pre-production paperwork such as character breakdown sheets and planning timeslots for when each actor can audition on Wednesday, each actor will have a ten minute audition and they will last for an hour and 30 minutes all together.

Wednesday, 21/03/2018- We auditioned and recorded multiple actors to assess on their abilities and we now have a casting sheet as well as availability information regarding the actors. The location recces and shot lists are coming together but we still need more information regarding the room we are planning to use for a hospital room.

Thursday, 22/03/2018 - Release forms for each actor have been printed and are ready to distribute between them. Plans for the production are coming together rapidly but we need to have a group talk about what we have and haven't currently done, we also need to discuss scheduling between the actors so we don't mix with the other groups scheduling. I have finished the prop list for our production and I'm feeling confident about this.

Monday, 27/03/2018- I believe the production schedule is currently finished and risk assessments are pretty much complete, however I need to have an idea of what the College room we are using looks like in order to write up the risk assessment for that location.  The shot lists are almost finished.
Tuesday, 28/03/2018- We had another meeting to discuss anything we may have missed and we have found no problems with out work, the pre-production file is full and we are ready to begin production!
