Unit 6: Media Campaigns- Social Action Diary

We researched multiple topics for anti bullying and I made a PowerPoint with statistics, facts and contact details to fight against bullying.

























Our original plan was to create a short film for awareness towards bullying however our group came to an agreement that no one would keep interest in a 5-10 minute film so we settled on 3 Short clips for Verbal, Cyber and Physical bullying with me as the co- director, Kain as the main director, Tom as the Cinematographer and sound operator although Alesha was supposed to be the Director but was off due to a University interview.
 We had a small accident involving one of the actors hitting their head on the wall but they were fine but one of the clips has bad audio and therefore won't be used. Each clip has it's own message to send and I feel like we did a pretty decent job at expressing that, all that's left is the post production editing and glossing. I have made The cyber bullying poster and Thomas has made a Physical Bullying Poster. I made a Facebook and Twitter for our campaign in order to reach a wider audience because Facebook and Twitter are the most popular platforms to spread awareness for different subjects and Twitter in general is the main platform to discuss controversial topics and world problems.
I made a Hash tag which was #RoadtoPrevent which allows out campaign to stand out from others as an original hash tag  allows a movement to become recognisable among other campaigns and movements. Our main Slogan is Road to prevent and this is on all of the social media pages for our campaign which keeps everyone connected if they don't use both platforms so they don't miss anything. I believe our videos will reach their intended audience as I'm sure that many people can relate to the initial plot of the clips even if they don't want to admit it.

Task 2- scriptwriting

1 - Issues.  "Issues" was written to be a fictional sob story short film about a homeless person trying to show his overwhelming kindness while also taking that was formatted correctly with size 12 and "courier" font, however the script was never completed therefore the film was never made. The overall language and dialogue used was intended to make the reader feel sympathetic towards the man. I have not used any brackets in my script therefore I have not included elements of a shooting script (The shooting script is written by the director) however I did use quotation marks which unnecessary in a master script. I have not used any slug lines in this script which is a major detail which is left out and makes it harder for the reader to picture the setting.
