Textual analysis of music video essay

I will be analyzing one of my favorite music videos, this one being "Cry" By Michael Jackson!

Music video- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj3MfUR35C

The story behind the video is simple, which is why i love the message behind it.

The music video for "Cry" was directed by Nicholas Brandt whom had also directed other various work for Michael Jackson.
The visual relationships with the lyrics include the Lyrics "You can change the world, i can't do it by myself", the visuals for the majority of the video show people in unity all over the world which can represent the fact that we are all human and that we all have feelings. The lyric also has a truth to it, this being that nobody can change the world for the good all by themselves. During the video, the people in the video begin singing and dancing along which can be seen as them all agreeing with the previous statements.
The relationship between the music and visuals are quite vague as the video doesn't cut to the beat, however on some cuts you can hear the background of the setting, for example, there's a scene with people in the woods an you can hear the words chirping, I believe the video is showing that everyone's in the same moment and should care about the present.
The Artist doesn't make an appearance in the music video at all therefore I believe they want the audience to focus on all people around the world instead of the main artist, the image that is being portrayed of the artist is that he want's to change the world for the better, however he needs the help of everyone to make it a reality. The video relates to previous work of the artist as Michael Jackson has multiple music videos including "Earth song" and "Man in the Mirror" where he focuses mainly on spreading a positive message and how the world has and should change.
There's nothing sexually related in the video, The people in the video are all looking in the same direction which i believe to be a metaphor for looking for a better tomorrow.
There are no intertextual references in the video as the work is 100% original and serious about what it's trying to do.
I the believe the video is Concept  based as it tells an original story through the visualsand lyrics.
Conclusion-Overall, the music videos entire message is simple to follow, the video and music are trying to say that when everyone comes together and focuses on one main goal, anything is possible, this goal in the lyrics being to change the world for the better.
Thanks for reading
